LLAMA TRUCK LIMITED WARRANTY POLICY
At LLAMA TRUCK, we design our electric utility vehicles for demanding applications, including hauling, property maintenance, agricultural work, commercial operations, landscaping, and other utility tasks.
This Limited Warranty provides coverage against defects in materials and workmanship and establishes specific warranty coverage for major vehicle components and batteries under normal and intended use.
Please read this Limited Warranty carefully. Warranty coverage is subject to the applicable warranty period, operating conditions, maintenance requirements, limitations, and exclusions described below.
This Limited Warranty becomes effective on the date of original delivery to the original purchaser.
1. LIMITED WARRANTY COVERAGE
LLAMA TRUCK warrants the components listed below against defects in materials and workmanship during the applicable warranty period.
| Component | Warranty Period |
|---|---|
| Motor | 2 Years |
| Frame | 2 Years |
| Controller | 2 Years |
| Gearbox | 1 Year |
| Charger | 1 Year |
| Lithium Battery | 2 Years / 1,000 Cycles |
| Lead-Acid Battery | 1 Year / 300 Cycles |
Unless otherwise stated, the applicable warranty period begins on the date of original delivery.
Coverage applies to defects in materials or workmanship occurring under normal operating conditions and when the vehicle has been properly operated, charged, maintained, and serviced according to the applicable owner's manual and LLAMA TRUCK instructions.
For batteries, the applicable time period or cycle limit, whichever occurs first, determines the duration of the battery capacity warranty.
2. BATTERY CAPACITY WARRANTY
LLAMA TRUCK provides specific capacity protection for compatible lithium-ion and lead-acid battery systems.
Battery capacity naturally decreases over time and with use. The battery warranty therefore distinguishes between normal gradual aging and capacity degradation that exceeds the applicable warranty threshold.
Lithium Battery
Whichever occurs first.
During the applicable warranty period, if the battery's measured usable capacity falls below 70% of its original rated capacity due to battery degradation, the battery may qualify for warranty service, subject to the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty.
Lead-Acid Battery
Whichever occurs first.
During the applicable warranty period, if the battery's measured usable capacity falls below 70% of its original rated capacity due to battery degradation, the battery may qualify for warranty service, subject to the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty.
70% Capacity Threshold
The 70% capacity threshold applies to measured usable battery capacity and does not refer to estimated driving range shown by the vehicle or experienced during normal operation.
Battery capacity must be evaluated using an appropriate diagnostic or testing procedure determined by LLAMA TRUCK.
Factors That Can Affect Driving Range
- Vehicle payload
- Terrain
- Driving speed
- Temperature
- Tire pressure
- Driving conditions
- Battery age
- Driving style
- Weather
- Use of accessories
- Overall vehicle operating condition
A vehicle providing less driving range does not necessarily indicate a battery capacity defect.
3. WHAT THE BATTERY WARRANTY COVERS
If an eligible battery is determined by LLAMA TRUCK to have a manufacturing defect, or measured usable capacity below the applicable 70% threshold during the applicable battery warranty period, LLAMA TRUCK may, at its discretion:
- Repair the battery when technically appropriate;
- Replace the battery or affected battery components;
- Provide an equivalent or functionally comparable replacement battery; or
- Provide another appropriate warranty remedy.
The specific remedy will be determined by LLAMA TRUCK based on the condition of the battery, diagnostic results, component availability, vehicle configuration, and applicable warranty requirements.
Replacement batteries or components may be new, refurbished, or equivalent parts that meet LLAMA TRUCK specifications.
A replacement battery does not automatically restart the original vehicle warranty period unless required by applicable law or expressly stated by LLAMA TRUCK.
4. BATTERY CYCLE DEFINITION
For purposes of this Limited Warranty, a battery cycle represents the equivalent of a full discharge and recharge of the battery's usable capacity.
Partial charging or partial discharging may collectively contribute toward an equivalent full cycle.
For example, multiple partial discharge-and-charge events may accumulate toward one equivalent full charge cycle.
The actual cycle count may be determined using the vehicle's battery management system, charger records, diagnostic equipment, or another reasonable method selected by LLAMA TRUCK.
5. NORMAL BATTERY DEGRADATION
All rechargeable batteries are consumable components and naturally lose capacity over time.
Normal battery aging does not constitute a manufacturing defect.
Battery performance and service life can be affected by:
- Charging frequency
- Depth of discharge
- Vehicle load
- Operating temperature
- Storage temperature
- Storage duration
- Charging practices
- Driving conditions
- Terrain
- Maintenance
- Battery age
- Number of charge cycles
For this reason, reduced range or reduced runtime alone does not establish a warranty defect.
The applicable 70% capacity threshold applies only when the battery is tested using an appropriate diagnostic or capacity-testing procedure.
6. BATTERY WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
Battery warranty coverage does not apply to damage, failure, or capacity loss caused by:
- Over-discharging
- Repeated operation after a low-battery warning
- Leaving the battery in a deeply discharged condition
- Using a non-approved charger
- Incorrect charging procedures
- Charger modification
- Incorrect voltage or charging equipment

- Keep batteries away from excessive heat, freezing conditions, flames, sparks, and other ignition sources.
Charging Safety: Lead-acid batteries may release hydrogen gas during charging. Charging should take place in a properly ventilated area away from flames, sparks, cigarettes, and other ignition sources.
Battery electrolyte may be corrosive. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and follow the battery manufacturer's safety instructions when servicing the battery.
Failure to follow recommended charging, storage, or maintenance procedures may shorten battery life and may result in warranty exclusion when improper care contributes to the failure.
8. LITHIUM BATTERY CARE AND SAFETY
